If the distance between two lines in a plane are same everywhere, then they are called parallel lines. otherwise called intersecting lines. The distance between two intersecting lines is zero. If two or more lines parallel to the same line, then all the lines are parallel to each other. In the given figure, m is parallel to n. The two lines m and n are parallel then we can write it as Transversal Lines : A straight line intersecting two or more straight lines in distinct points is known as a transversal to the two given lines.
